Professional Forex Trader

Definition - What does Professional Forex Trader mean?

A professional forex trader is an individual who earns the majority of their income from currency trading. Essentially, an individual currency trader who makes enough in profits to support himself (or herself) is considered a professional forex trader. A trader employed by an organization like a bank and trading on their behalf in return for a salary is also considered a professional forex trader even though the compensation is not directly related to profits and losses.

ForexDictionary explains Professional Forex Trader

Professional forex traders are simply traders who trade full time and earn a living doing it. The primary difference between them and other traders is that trading is their business. This is an important difference in that it encourages them to think critically about their trades and work to systematically improve their trading. That said, there is nothing stopping other traders from learning by studying how professional traders trade.
