Definition - What does

ForexDictionary explains
Trading Desk
Most large banks or securities company will have a trading desk dedicated to currency trading. However, the term trading desk is a bit deceiving. If the institution runs a large forex trading portfolio, then there will actually be many desks and many traders working in that area.
Trading desks look after the trades made by the institution. Desks that also execute trades by forex traders outside of the financial institution are called dealing desks rather than trading desks.
