The ask is the quote price at which a currency pair can be bought. The ask price is essentially the market price – that is, the price that the market is willing to sell the currency pair at. The ask is also referred to as the ask price, the offer, the offer price and ask rate.
The ask is simply the market price for a given currency and represents the price that the trader will be buying in at. It is to the right of the quoted prices. For example, if the EUR/USD is quoted at 1.3388/91, the ask price at which a trader can buy the pair is 1.3391.
